Method

  1. The day before thaw the cooked Italian crumble in the refrigerator at 4'C/40'F or lower.
  2. Place the thawed, Italian crumble in a large pot and break apart.
  3. Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, sugar, onion and seasonings to the Italian crumble. Cook slowly, stirring frequently, until thickened about 30 minutes. Cook to an internal temperature of 165;F/74'C held for at least 15 seconds.
