Celebrate The Big Game!
There’s nothing quite like the Super Bowl. Millions of fans all over Canada and the US gather together to watch the NFL’s championship game. Traditions have been established, plates of wings and bowls of chili are consumed. Anticipation over the commercials and the half-time show has become just as fun as watching the game itself. It’s a uniquely American event.
The first Super Bowl was held on January 15, 1967 in Los Angeles with the Green Bay Packers beating the Kansas City Chiefs. It was the result of the merger between the National Football League (NFL) and the American Football League (AFL). It was originally called the AFL-NFL World Championship Game and didn’t get the name Super Bowl until 3 years later.
