Taco Dog (Hot Dog)

Featured Maple Leaf Product: Schneiders Roller Grill Hot Dogs 6″ – 10/Lb (13641)

Recipe Information

Method

  1. Cook hot dogs on a preheated outdoor barbecue or arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a pre-heated 350 F oven until the hot dogs have reached an internal temperature of 165 F (74 C). While the hot dogs are cooking, assemble the remaining condiments to build the Taco Dogs at time of service.
  2. Build taco dogs by taking a standard sized hot dog bun and split open. Place 15 ml (1 Tbsp) of salsa on the bottom of the bun. Add 21 g of shredded cheddar cheese and place the hot dog onto the cheese. Top with finely chopped onions. For the final layer, add 30 ml (2 Tbsp) of prepared guacamole.
