Method

  1. Cook hot dogs on a preheated outdoor barbecue or arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake in a pre-heated 350 F oven until the hot dogs have reached an internal temperature of 165 F (74 C). While the hot dogs are cooking, assemble the remaining condiments to build the Hawaiian Dogs at time of service. Optionally, combine the marmalade, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard and crushed pineapple; chill for 1 hour to combine flavours.
  2. Build the Hawaiian dogs by taking a standard sized hot dog bun and place the hot dog inside first. Top with 10 ml (2 tsp) of marmalade, 20 ml (4 tsp) of crushed pineapple, 10 ml (2 tsp) of Dijon mustard. Top with a drizzle of mayonnaise. Alternately, if combining the condiments into 1 mixture, drizzle over the top of each hot dog to make it Hawaiian.
