Celebrate 7 Days of Greece

Have fun planning a super special “Greek Week” with Maple Leaf Foodservice. There is no better supplier than Maple Leaf who has a full selection of proteins that are ideal as the base of so many fabulous Greek Recipes.

Everyone loves Greek foods, so full of flavour and colour and texture. Let your residents experience Greece by hosting a “Greek Week” whereby you serve one Greek dish per day for a full week. Each day you can create an experience around Greek culture by decorating and offering some history and geography to each day.

As an option, you can have each day set up as a visit to different cities or islands or you can also find some of your residents that are Greek and ask them to speak to their hometowns, traditions, and cultures.

Great Greek Week Menu Ideas

DAY 1 – Visit to Santorini for the great beaches.

Serve a light Greek Chicken Salad using Maple Leaf Chicken Souvlaki

Greek Chicken Pasta Salad using Maple Leaf Diced Chicken Breast

Grilled Turkey Greek Pita Pockets using Maple Leaf Grilled Turkey Strips

DAY 2 – Visit to Athens for a tour of the capital and all of the historical monuments.

Serve traditional Chicken Souvlaki Wrap for Lunch

Chicken Souvlaki Meal for Dinner, using Maple Leaf Chicken Souvlaki.

DAY 3 – Visit to Delphi and look at the ancient ruins.

Serve up a Greek Meatball Dish for Dinner. Try our Maple Leaf Fully Cooked Meatballs and create your own signature Greek meatball recipe by adding feta cheese and tomatoes and cucumber. Serve with warm pita bread on the side.

DAY 4 – Visit to the Island of Crete

Moussaka for Dinner or Lunch.
Why not make your own Moussaka with Maple Leaf Plant-Based Crumble instead of ground lamb. This is a great way to provide a vegetarian or vegan option for all of your residents.

DAY 5 – Visit the Island of Corfu for the culture and heritage of this beautiful island.
