Method

  1. Take salisbury steaks and score outside on a charbroiler or marked grill. Cut in half and pan in large hotel pans.
  2. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Add onions and saute for 3-5 minutes. Add mushroomsand garlic, continue to cook for another 5 minutes or until mushrooms are tender.
  3. Add beef gravy (or demi-glace) to large skillet and cook for 5 minutes until flavours incorporate. Finish with fresh basil sliced thin.
  4. Pour sauce evenly over the salisbury steaks in the large hotel pans. Bake in a pre-heated oven at 325 F until salisbury steak is has reached a temperature of 160 F/ 70 C and flavours have come together. Approximately 20 minutes.
